Provincial Champions
Those two words sum it up. On Sept 23 the Ironmen journeyed to Royals Field in Fredricton where veteran JF ‘Frankie” Neveu tossed a complete game 4 hitter to defeat the Royals 8-1. The veteran got stronger as the game went on silencing the potent Royal bats. The Ironmen rapped out 8 hits with Orry Cook driving in three runs.
The Ironmen got great at bats up and down the line up throughout the playoffs. and very strong pitching through out.Shane Courtney was 4-0 in the playoffs and Jason Jarvis did it with his pitching (3W 1L and a save) and hitting (342 average plus 11 rbi). Nolan Levy had the top batting average in the playoffs hitting 368 while Kris Keating hit 343
The team was treated to the traditional Fire Truck parade through downtown and followed by a meet the players at Ironmen Field
