5 Game Winning Streak
The Ironmen have reeled off 5 straight wins,, bringing their first place record to 6-2.
A 6-2 win over Saint John on June 10 was their 4th win in June. Jason Jarvis recorded the win tossing a complete game while giving up 1 earned run ,4 hits and 7 strikeouts. Cody Dickson’s bases clearing double in the 6th was the big blow. Dickson also had a single and rookie Jordan Kingston clubbed his first Ironmen home run, a 2 run shot also in the 6th
June 8 saw the team win 10-8 in Fredericton .Veteran Gary Ryder notched the win pitching 6.1 innings while Aaron Noel picked up the save. Kris Keating had 2 hits 2RBI and 3 SB while Matt Losier had 2 RBI
June 7 had the Ironmen winning a 7-6 thriller over Fredericton at Ironmen Field.. Shane Courtney got his second win of the year and Jarvis recorded the save pitching in the 7th inning. Jeff Watkin had 2 hits including a 2run home run. Orry Cook had 2 hits as did Nolan Levy who also had a stolen base.
The Ironmen started June on the 2nd with a 10-1 decision over Fredericton. Jarvis again had a complete game, tossing a 4 hitter and recording 7 strike outs. Jarvis contributed to his cause with 2 hits including a double.Gary Ryder,Orry Cook and Jimmy Russell each had 2 RBI
Ironmen ended May with a 10-6 win over Moncton on the 31st.. Shane Courtney picked up his first Ironmen win giving up no earned runs over 4.2 innings. Jason Jarvis had 3 hits and 5 RBI to lead the offense while Jeff Watkin scored 3 times and also received 3 walks
